Not so critical mass
This is a small portion of the 800 Trek Lime bicycles that took part in a 3 mile ride from Monona Terrace to the University of Madison campus in Madison Wisconsin.
Madison is one of the most bicycle friendly places around and this particular downtown street is actually always closed to cars. It is lined with great shops and restaurants. The folks dining on the sidewalks were amazed at the long line of cyclists coming down the road.

They should have put a couple bulls at the back of the line to keep everyone moving at a brisk pace.
Then again, you can only go so fast on those 3 speed automatic transmission bicycles.
I think the bike can go as fast as you want it to go. You just have to put your legs to it
That was an amazing sight, and a great experience to be a part of.
