Alex Ryan and Matt Rotroff are in Southern
California for the next 12 days racing in
the National Mountain Bike Series #1. Alex raced for
the Land Rover/Cannondale/Paceline Pro MTB squad
last year. This year he is racing for the
Kobold Watch/ Cannondale/ Paceline team (more to come on this)
Matt races for Inland Construction.

Today we are in Sunny and smoggy Fontana, California.
Just about 30 miles east Los Angeles, California.
We started our day pre-riding the race course
with team mate Travis Livermon. The course is a
6 mile loop that takes youacross several urban sections
of trail.(old roads and buildings) It's littered with hills.
You basically ride up and down a mountain. The course also
has several drainage ditches that the riders have to
traverse. The course is overall pretty cool,
lots of sand, climbs and fast descents. Now we are
back at out hotel, just relaxing and prepping our
Cannondale scalpels for tomorrow's race.
